KREN 1001. Beginning Korean Language and Introduction to Korean Culture I. 3 Hours.
An introductory course to develop proficiency and communicative competence at the novice level in four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Proficiency Guidelines. The course will include awareness of various sociocultural aspects and the distinctiveness of certain cultural traditions.
KREN 1002. Beginning Korean Language and Introduction to Korean Culture II. 3 Hours.
Prerequisite: KREN 1001 or equivalent. A continuation of KREN 1001 with emphasis on proficiency and communicative competence at the novice level in the four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Proficiency Guidelines. The course will include awareness of various sociocultural aspects and the distinctiveness of certain cultural traditions.
KREN 2001. Intermediate Korean Language and Introduction to Korean Culture I. 3 Hours.
Prerequisite: KREN 1002 or equivalent. Emphasis on the development of proficiency and communicative competence at the intermediate level in the four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Proficiency Guidelines. The course will include awareness of various sociocultural aspects and the distinctiveness of certain cultural traditions.
KREN 2002. Intermediate Korean Language and Introduction to Korean Culture II. 3 Hours.
