ELED 6080. Social Studies Methods. 2 Hours.
Prerequisite: ELED 6050, 6051, and 6052. Introduction to knowledge and skills to design, implement, and assess effective social studies instruction in the elementary classroom. This course emphasizes inquiry-based learning, integration of technology, and culturally responsive teaching practices to promote critical thinking, civic engagement, and historical understanding. Candidates will explore strategies for teaching history, geography, civics, and economics while aligning lessons with state and national standards.
