CRJU 4140. Evidence. 3 Hours.
Prerequisites: CRJU 1100 and ENGL 2020, or permission of instructor. A study of the forensic use of evidence in building a criminal case including an examination of burden of proof and affirmative defenses. This course emphasizes foundation, relevancy, character evidence, privileges, witness, expert testimony, scientific evidence, hearsay, authentication of real evidence, and documentary evidence.
