Prerequisites: CRJU 1100 and ENGL 2020 or permission of instructor. Examines the origins, development, and practices of forensic interviewing and interrogation, focusing on constitutional issues such as counsel rights, voluntariness, and distinctions between admissions and confessions. All topics are grounded in the Bill of Rights, the 14th Amendment, and established best practices.
