CHPE 4110. Social Contexts of Coaching. 3 Hours.
An examination of sport coaching form social perspectives. Beginning with a history of sport (Ancient Greece to the 20th Century), students will use seminal and current literature to understand the sociological and psychological factors affecting sport coaching within the United States as well as in comparison with the European/Australian models of sport.
