AFAM 4010. Internship in Africana Studies. 3 Hours.
Prerequisite: AFAM 2000 or permission of the instructor. Graded "Satisfactory" or "Unsatisfactory". A student internship experience with community organizations and governmental entities that provides students with real-life opportunities to work with populations of African descent. Students will acquire supervised exposure and training in a professional environment and directly apply knowledge gained in the classroom, develop work-related skills, explore career opportunities, and exercise personal development and self-assessment. Maybe repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 hours.
